History of Egypt is 6000 years of development of civilization. During this time, Egypt gave rise to an insane number of great rulers, religious figures, scientists and other famous people. All of them are worthy of attention of our respected readers, but our rating is not rubber, and I had to choose the 10 most. These people built important attractions of Egypt, you will see them on advertising posters and souvenirs during a trip. They are better to know in the face and have an idea of their achievements and heritage.
IMHOTEP (XXVII century BC.NS.)
The most famous scientist and architect of ancient Egypt
Why on this list: Everyone knows, as the image is very actively used in mass culture
Why only 10th place: people know not himself, but an image
He was the main priest of the RA God and the main adviser with Pharaoh Joser from the III dynasty. He is one of the few figures of ancient Egypt, which was deified, and Immechapa wanted as the God of Medicine.
It was Imhotep that built the first Egyptian pyramid, erecting several MastaB on each other. This first pyramid is called "Stage Pyramid of Joser" and is located in Sakcara’s necropolis 25 kilometers south of modern Cairo. Surprisingly, she was well preserved outwardly, although inside was relieved in the first transition period.
Russians almost unknown real scientist Imhotep, we better know his artistic images. Most of all it glorified three pieces of the film "Mummy". Photo above – Frame from this movie. What a real imheotep looked like, it’s hard to say. We have only statues of the period of the new kingdom, which is unlikely to reliably depict it.
The tomb of Imhats was never found, and probably, we still expect a loud archaeological discovery associated with his name.
Mohammed Ali Egyptian (XVIII-XIV century n.NS.)
The most famous ruler of Egypt of the new time
Why on this list: His role in the history of Egypt is huge, his reforms were for the country "jump" forward

In war with the French, Mohammed Ali did not succeed, but began to do a political career in Egypt. By 1905 he was prescribed by the governor of all Egypt.
But this for Mohammed Ali Pasha was a little, he was already tolerated the reform plan. In 1830, Egypt ceased to pay tribute to the Ottoman Empire and began to defend independence. In his rule, the reforms of the army and the management were carried out, which made Egypt modern for their time. Egypt has become actually independent, although nominally considered part of the Ottoman Empire.

The faithful companion of Hitler and one of the founders of the National Socialist Party in Germany. Rudolf Hes was born in Egypt in Alexandria in 1894. In Egypt, he conducted his previous childhood, and then returned back to Switzerland.
We do not know how the Egyptian environment affected him. We hope that Egypt did not participate in the formation of his worldview.
Rudolf Gess became famous for the fact that the plane sat down in 1941 and flew from Germany to England. At that moment the countries have long been in a state of war. Why did he do it and what he wanted to achieve? We still do not know, as all documents are classified as British intelligence. Hitler declared him crazy and traitor. In 2017, they must declare these documents, then we will find out the truth.
Gamal Abdel Nasser (XX century)
Egyptian President (1954-1970), Hero of the Soviet Union
Why on this list: The most active leader of modern Egypt
Why only 7th place: we don’t know him so well
In the middle and late 60s, Gamal Abdel Nasser became the hero of jokes in the Soviet Union. He was awarded the Order of Lenin and the star of the Hero of the USSR. The Soviet people could not understand this step, and this misunderstanding was expressed in a satirical form.
For Egypt, it was a real hero. Gamal Abdel Nasser was a very skilled politician, he masterfully played world leaders like puppets. As a result of his rule, the Soviet Union built a large hydroelectric power station for Egypt in the city of Aswan almost free. The countries of the Warsaw Agreement were supplied by Egypt weapons of the newest samples at low prices and with deferred payments.
Nasser led Egypt during two Arab-Israeli wars 1956 and 1967, and both wars were extremely unsuccessful. Nasser turned out to be a good politician, but not the most skillful commander. In honor of him in Egypt, dozens of streets and reservoirs are named.

Tsarina Nefertiti (XIV century BC.NS.)
Pharaoh Ehnaton’s spouse from XVII dynasty
Why on this list: Known legends about their beauty
Why only 4th place: She did not accomplish something important for her life
It is amazing as a wife who has not accomplished anything important for his life, ahead of her husband’s popularity – the great religious reformer of Egypt.
Pharaoh Ehnaton conducted an important reform in Egypt – he introduced the worship of the One God Athon, that is, introduced monotheism. The reform was "with slipping", which we will not talk in detail now. Ehnaton would be wonderful everything, but he had no heir. And his wife Nefertiti gave birth to him 6 daughters and not a single son. The probability of such a coincidence – 1 to 64.
After the death of Nefertiti Tsaritsa on the 13th or 14th year of the Board of Ehnaton, Pharaoh married his daughter, but the heir was not born. Incest did not bring anyone to the good. After the death of Ehnaton himself, his name was given to the oblivion of Amon Priests, previously persecuted.
But, the memory of Nefertiti itself remained in centuries, as about one of the most beautiful women of Ancient Egypt.
Sultan Saladin (XII century H.NS.)
The most famous ruler of Egypt in the Middle Ages

Later, his image began to appear in any works concerning crusades. And no matter what period. In most cases, the authors confuse his actual lifetime, and in works he fights with all the crusaders, from the very first to the last. The last loud appearance of this character in the mass culture is the film "Kingdom of Heaven" director Ridley Scott. The role of Sultan Saladina performed the Syrian actor Gassan Massouse.

Pharaoh Tutankhamon (XIV century BC.NS.)
The most famous pharaoh of ancient Egypt
Why on this list: His name I know almost all Russians
Why only 2nd place: He became famous for quite by chance
It is amazing! Pharaoh Tutankhamam actually did not rule Egypt. He nominally joined the throne at the 10th age, regacts ruled for him. In 19 years he died, and it is unclear exactly exactly what. Perhaps he died, falling from the chariot on the hunt, and maybe from illness. He was so quickly prepared for the burial that poured mummy oil. At the time of extraction, the mummy was badly damaged, and it is not possible to determine the cause of death.
He became famous for the occasion. Almost all tombs in the valley of the kings were looted back in antiquity, and only one archaeologists found almost untouched, it was the tomb of Tutankhamon. Its content was found intact and is kept now in the Cairo Museum. The most famous find in the tomb is a funeral mask made of gold and weighing more than 10 kilograms. This mask is depicted on a coin 1 Egyptian pound.
In Russia, he is very famous thanks to the song Rock Group "Nautilus Pompilius". Remember, "True always alone. Pharaoh said it, he was very smart, and he was called Tutankhamon for it ".
