Raddle Croatia – Dalmatia and Cities Coast
Croatia – Motherland Marco Polo and Ties, Young Vineyards and Oyster Farms, Modern Five Star Hotels and Vintage Castles. Croatia is such a bright and sunny, covered with thick greenery and washed by the crystal waters of the Adriatic Sea.
We attended the country not in the season (in early October), but despite this, we have time to swim in the sea and sunbathe. At the visit and inspection of attractions were allocated only three saturated in the experience and picturesque landscapes of the day.
I would like to separately write a few words about generous and hospitable owners who fit us. In Dubrovnik, we stayed in a cute old woman, renting numbers on the first floor (Apartment Ivana S.) and living with her husband on the second. She met us with a welcoming drink (lemonade of its own production from their own oranges) and baked specifically for us with a cupcake. By the morning, we carefully examined her garden, not large in size, but abundant damasters (grape loses, orange, lemon, olive trees, kiwi and various colors) and guests (in the same garden there were turtles). And from our balcony, the colorful types of Dubrovnik opened.
Touched by a welcoming hostess, we headed to inspect the city by narrow inclined streets, completely the milk terracotta tiled roofs and thick vegetation.
The main attraction of the city is its old town surrounded by a massive fortress wall. It is not in vain as a reference medieval city (in particular, there are many scenes of the game of thrones), and the crowds of people can be found in the afternities. A significant part of tourists – the elderly people who landed from the liner for the inspection of the city and not retaining in the city for a long time (landed-looked off-bought-sailed). Not even in the season not the wide streets of the city were full of lively crowd.
Along the main street of Stradun and the numerous rows of snack bars, prestigious restaurants, fragrant buns, prestigious restaurants, fragrant bakery pekara, souvenir shops and gelato shops, souvenir shops and counters stretched.
After visiting the old city, we walked along the picturesque modern streets of Dubrovnik, saw thick flower vegetation, and headed down, closer to the port and marine species.
After colorful Dubrovnik, we kept the way to the side "Mediterranean flower" – Cities Split. At one time, Bosnians walked a piece of Croatian territory and got a way out to the sea, and the coast of Croatia turned out to be a divided tiny piece of the Bosnian territory. Thus, in order to get, for example, from Dubrovnik to Split or vice versa, you need to cross the border twice.
Croatian territory, stretched along the coast of the Adriatic, was named Dalmatia. It is in Dalmatia that the most beautiful bays are located, a lot of smoking the greens of the islands, as well as a large number of national parks and natural reserves. One of the most famous centers of Central Dalmatia is the city of Split.
Croatia did not cease to amaze us with their welcome. The owners of the apartments in Split presented us at the entrance and when leaving a bottle of good wine, met in the evening with free meat cutting and fruit, and in the morning – chocolate pancakes.
In a good arrangement of the spirit from the reception and sunny day, we went to swim in the Adriatic, and then inspect the city’s main attraction – the old town.
The old town of Split is so extraordinary, combining samples of medieval, gothic and baroque architecture. Here you can observe both the faded arches and columns of antiquity and the colorful buildings of the Baroque era.
Roman Colony of Solon, the remains of the ruins of which still can be found in Split, was the capital and economic center of Dalmatia province at one time. According to legend, the Roman emperor Diocletian was born here, who, after renunciation, returned to Split, where the construction of a palace for him was. Diocletian Palace and Ponyna is the central attraction of the city of Split.
Over the next centuries, there was an expansion of the boundaries of the city outside the old city. Subsequently, Split acquired its popularity from Europeans and became a favorite vacation spot of wealthy Venetians. In this regard, they began to build their villas and palaces here, preserved to the present day and included in the general architectural ensemble of the city.
I would like to mention the pride and love of the Croatians, which they experience to the National Football Club – Hayduk. The colorful emblems of this club were conquered on the streets of the city as graffiti.
In the old town of Split, we found a whole network of shops with sweets – just a paradise for sweet tooths. The shops themselves were stylized under medieval pirates with stuffed barrels "Treasure". We could not resist and bought themselves from there whole sweets. We completed inspection of the walk along the embankment and the purchase of souvenirs.
So completed our mini-trip by Croatia. For such a short period of time, we still managed to enjoy the fresh sea air, the clean waters of the Adriatic Sea, narrow-tilted streets, dying tiled roofs, rich in vegetation, fading antique cities, powerful medieval fortresses, bright Baroque buildings, lavender flavors and fresh baking, as well as Raddle and hospitality of hosts.
