Regions of Greece: Argolid
Right opposite the narrowesty, connecting methane peninsula with the mainland, in the depths of the argolder lies the town Trizin (TRIZINA), near which you can see the ruins of ancient trosen – the legendary place of the birthplace of Sea. Only three dilapidated Byzantine chapels are preserved from the once extensive city (built from the blocks of antique temples in V-IX centuries.) and the complex of the so-called "Tower Tower" (Pyrgos-Diatikhismatos, III in. to N. NS. – IX B. N. NS.), as well as the ruins of an ancient aqueduct.
And south, already on the other side of the mountains of the Aetseles, the whole strip of good seaside resorts begins Plep, Acti Hyras, Termia, Hermioni (Ancient Hermion), Portohelion (Porto Heli), as well as a picturesque island Spets opposite Cosostas Cape.
Peninsula Sea

A little further south lies the small holiday village Paralion-Astros (Paralion Astros), whose old buildings surround the Cape, divided into two medieval fort (open Thursday to Sunday from 8.30 to 15.00; free) and ruins citadel (XIII in. to N. NS.). Pebbly and sandy local beach stretches nearly 6 km south of the fishing harbor and is famous for its small taverns and cafes. Cynuria Archaeological Museum (open from Thursday to Sunday from 8.30 to 15.00; 2 euros) lies just west of the town Astros has quite an extensive collection of antique items, including found in Lerna, and at the site of a Roman villa of Herodes Atticus in Eva-Dolianone (5 km inland on the road to Tripoli).
To the south stretches a whole series of tiny coastal villages and small beaches, exiting to the Cape Sambatiki and the eponymous village, which stretches about one of the best beaches in the Peloponnese. And just beyond the cliffs of Cape Pelya starting blocks of a prosperous market town Leonídion, famous for its pebble beach, the ancient port of Plaka (4 km south), the elements of the Doric style of the traditional local architecture and. eggplant "tsakoniki". Arvanitia (Arvanitia) – always crowded pebble beach in Nafplion, just east of the Old Town. It is dominated by the castle of Palamidi. Near a small port town Hermioni (Ermioni) there are several picturesque beaches. The same rocky beach is washed by transparent clear water, there are always many locals on this beach.
